UPARC Monthly Meeting Minutes For 7 October 2023
Fred Botero W2SUB called the meeting to order at 10:06.
Pledge of allegiance recited.
Flex Presentation given by Michael Walker VA3MW – no slides were used.
Board and member introductions.
Sept. meeting minutes have been posted and approved as written.
Treasurer’s report – income $28.67, current balance $10,034.11, 63 paid out of 72 total UPARC members.
VE report – 2 exam candidates. Both passed Technician exams.
Net Report – 84 logins for the month. Bob K1NLS tied record with 23 check-ins.
JOTA will be held at the Scout camp in Lutz on Oct. 21 -22. Amateur radio exam testing will be conducted on site. Teardown at 10:00 Sunday.
Monthly Breakfast with CARS – Oct. 28 @ Another Broken Egg.
Karen Isak received the President’s award.
Dee Hooker W4DCH presented the election slate: President- Fred Botero W2SUB, Vice President- Alan
Streitman W4UB, Secretary- Mike Branda K4HN, Tom Schaefer NY4I, Treasurer- Ron Appel W4RFA and
Member at Large- Ryan Rager AF4O. No nominations were received from the floor. Nominations are now closed.
50/50 raffle results: Total $40 total, $20 was won by Olev.
Next club meeting is the election picnic and will be held at John Chesnut Park, shelter 12 on Nov. 4. at 10:00.
