UPARC Board Meeting Minutes for April 5, 2025
President Ryan Rager AF4O called meeting to order at 8:35 AM.
In attendance:

Absent – Jason Esterline N4BOZ – Member-at-Large
Official Motions and Voting Results
Rager AF4O motioned for club membership to vote in the following club meeting “To
authorize the club to send up to $1000 to procure an antenna with gain, new or used,
which could be easily setup and stored”. Seconded by Streitman W4UB. Motion passed
unanimously from all Board members present with no dissents.
Discussion Items
Future club meeting training topics planned
– May – Winlink Part #1 and Triplexer
– June – ARRL Field Day and dB101
– July – Field Day recap and 6m Band
– August – Winlink Part #2 and DLARC (Digital Library)
– September – Tim Duffy DX Engineering (to be confirmed)
– October – Satellite Operations and TBD (Mag Loop theory?)
– November – Mobile Communications and EFHW takeoff angles
– December – Annual meeting, picnic and election
UPARC in the Park planned for April 12th at Honeymoon Island
Tax and state document filings from 2024 are completed
Logo committee to be formed with 3-4 members with aim to update the club logo to improve association to the club name, location and affiliation to the ham radio hobby
Rager AF4O to head up 2-3 volunteers to get a DIY Hamclock workshop setup in the coming month
