UPARC Monthly Meeting Minutes For 1 April 2023
Fred Botero W2SUB called the meeting to order at 10:01.
Pledge of allegiance recited.
Board and member introductions.
March meeting minutes have been posted and approved as written.
Treasurer report – income $481.75, expenses $42.21, current balance $9757.51. Field day expenses have
been reimbursed by CARS. 60 paid UPARC members.
Net Report – 60 logins for the month.
VEC report – One test candidate. Karen Isak passed her Technician exam today.
GOTA Committee (Alan Streitman W4UB) – Modified 2 HP server power supplies for a club member for
amateur radio use.
Social Committee to be composed of Herb Mooney WW4BCH and Ryan Ryczek KJ4FXX.
Field Day committee to be composed of UPARC Board members, Tom Schafer NY4I, CARS and SPARC
Board members if participating.
Tom Schafer NY4I gave a brief overview of HamWan.
Steve Foy N4FOY agreed to give a future presentation on GMRS.
UPARC POTA now scheduled for 29 April.
Alan Streitman W4UB was recognized for his contributions in assisting club members with shack issues and
helping them get on the air.
Tom Schafer NY4I presented the QSL process and logging.
May meeting presentations – NanoVNA Steve Foy N4FOY, Home Brew Show & Tell
50/50 results: Total $60 Rob Bird WD4IFT won $30.
Next club meeting May 6.
