UPARC Monthly Meeting Minutes for January 2026
Ryan Ragar AF4O, club president, called the meeting to order at 10:02 AM on 1/3/2026
Board Members Present:

Alan Streitman W4UB – Member–at–Large
31 members were in attendance of which 17 were ARRL members
VE report – No candidates this month
Treasurer Report: UPARC has maintained adequate available funds. Detailed report was
displayed and explained in the meeting
Fred discussed club T–shirt and Polo shirt sales and the handling of future Estate Sales
Tom Schaefer reported that Repeater Controller may be ok but Antenna work is needed.
Motions:
Ryan discussed tower & antenna repairs needed. We plan to employ Peak Power
Services, Inc to perform the repairs and testing for an estimated quote of $2,750.
Discussion followed and a Motion was made by Tom Schaefer and seconded by
Mike Branda to spend up to $3,300 for this repair. Passed unanimously.
Ryan talked about upcoming meeting presentations
50/50 drawing of $48 with the $24 of winnings being donated back to the club. Net $48.00
to UPARC.
Meeting presentation was on Winter Field Day, and operations of our Elecraft K3 radios and
TR4W, the logging software we’ll be using. Presented by Ryan Ragar and Tom Schaefer
