UPARC Monthly Meeting Minutes for November 2025
In the absence of the Club President, Club Secretary, Fred Botero, W2SUB called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM on November 1, 2025.
Board members present: Streitman, Botero, Appel, Esterline
Board Members absent – Rager
26 members and 0 visitors present, 21 indicated ARRL membership
VE report – 2 candidates tested and both passed Technician and General respectively
Treasurer’s Report: UPARC has maintained adequate available funds. Detailed report was displayed and explained in the meeting.

President’s Award – None awarded at this meeting
The Nominations Committee led by Dee Hooker W4DCH submitted a slate of vetted Nominees for the 2026 UPARC Board election. No nominations from the floor were made. Therefore, the Nominations Committee slate will become the 2026 Board officers as no positions are contested. Nominees are: President Ryan Rager AF4O, VP Fred Botero W2SUB, Secretary Ron Appel W4RFA, Treasurer Ron Ambrosio N2SKH and Member at Large Alan Streitman W4UB.
The main presentation topic was Mobile Radio Operations, and the presenter was Fred Botero W2SUB. A display and tour of 4 vehicles with mobile radios in the parking lot followed the meeting.
50/50 drawing of $42.00 with $19.00 of the winnings donated back to the club. Net $40.00 to UPARC.
An auction of a hard shell carrying case donated by a club member netted $15.00 in proceeds to the club.
